Hello, I’m David Stirzaker. I was born in the fishing port of Fleetwood on the northwest Lancashire coast. I grew up in a very close-knit family and together we had a passion for food, life, travel, and adventure.
In my school years, I flourished in sport and music rather than traditional academia. From an early age I became interested in becoming an entrepreneur and I decided to pursue my dreams and goals through practical means. After leaving high school, I joined the family restaurant business becoming a completely self-taught chef and chocolatier, and specialising in bread and savoury dishes. During my years as a chef, I also became interested in property development and managed to carve myself a successful niche in the market.
It was also during that time that I was a drummer with the cult UK Indie rock band Désormais. We had several successful UK tours before splitting in 2002, but I still love drumming and practice it whenever possible. After the split of the band, I embraced the opportunity to undertake an Offshore Survival Course, in the hopes that I could make a career change and become a chef on the maritime oil rigs. Although my plan didn’t come to fruition, it gave me the opportunity to really examine my life and make some big decisions for my future, and the future of my family. After many successful years in the restaurant business, I took the decision to expand my talents and explore new horizons. In the roller coaster, action packed year that followed, I launched my company, Primary Work at Home and found myself on the fast track to becoming a successful entrepreneur. I was finally able to live a lifestyle of my own design and teach people the liberating principle of working to live, rather than living to work.
I have made it my life’s work to help others realise their dreams, and achieve their true potential through entrepreneurialism.
A family man at heart, I still live in my beloved home town with my wife Catherine, son James, and daughters Annabelle and Eva.
